The Greenaissance Group

The Greenaissance Group serves as a brain trust formed to translate sustainable living solutions to the new age of consumers in business, entertainment, urban development and media. Making sustainability relative to the masses is the only real solution and this is done through health and wellness, grass root campaigns, youth advocacy, consumer icons and media. True Sustainability comes from the inside out.... Now more than ever we are faced with the task of creating renewable solutions for every facet of our life in every segment of the population across the globe. We must go beyond being consumers, producers and inventors to also becoming reducers, reusers, and recyclers. And the 4th R... as reasoners we understand that to live a truly sustainable lifestyle we must be wholistic and refuse to indulge in unhealthy eating, support unethical businesses and refuse to except the existence of food deserts in urban communities.

More about WalkRacing:

Yes, Walkracing is an Olympic event that’s governed by the following rules:

The first dictates that the athlete's back toe cannot leave the ground until the heel of the front foot has touched. Violation of this rule is known as loss of contact. The second rule requires that the supporting leg must straighten from the point of contact with the ground and remain straightened until the body passes over it.

Mark Jenkins, celebrity Trainer/Author, Community activist and the days host will warm us up and explain the rules. Following the Fun Run participants accompanied by an adult can continue along the route on the mall east on Jefferson to the end of the mall at 4th Street. Participants in the 3k  will then begin to pick up the pace obeying all traffic laws and turning right on 4th street (heading South), right on Independence Ave (heading west) then left on 12 street (South) to our finish at 12th and D.
